In 2024, College Football is Back with a Bang: Meet the Preseason All-America Teams
College football is set to make a thrilling comeback in 2024, and there are plenty of familiar names on our annual preseason All-America teams. After much deliberation and input from our panel of editors and writers, we’ve selected 50 of the best players in the game right now, representing 30 schools across the country.
The powerhouse Ohio State Buckeyes lead the way with four players on the list, followed closely by Michigan, Georgia, Alabama, and Notre Dame, each with three standout athletes making the cut. But the competition is fierce, with talents from other schools like Oregon, Oklahoma State, and Boise State also shining bright.
Let’s take a closer look at some of the key players who made the cut on our first-team offense:
-
Quarterback Dillon Gabriel, Oregon: With an impressive track record of 3,000-yard seasons at UCF and Oklahoma, Gabriel looks to lead Oregon to a national title in his final year of eligibility. Keep an eye on this Heisman Trophy candidate as he aims to dazzle on the field.
-
Running back Ollie Gordon II, Oklahoma State: Gordon made waves in 2023 with a phenomenal jump in performance, amassing over 1,700 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns. A force to be reckoned with, he’s a key player to watch this season.
-
Wide receiver Luther Burden III, Missouri: A breakout star in the making, Burden had a stellar sophomore season with over 1,200 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. His athleticism and physicality make him a top target on the field.
- Tight end Colston Loveland, Michigan: A standout performer for the national champions last year, Loveland returns as a vital piece of Michigan’s offense. His knack for big plays and reliable hands set him apart as a top NFL prospect.
