Indianapolis to Host WNBA All-Star Game for the First Time
Historically known for hosting major sporting events, Indianapolis will add another feather to its cap next summer with the first-ever WNBA All-Star Game to be held in the city. The highly-anticipated game is set to take place on July 19 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, preceded by the 3-point contest and skills challenge on July 18.
WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert expressed her excitement, stating, “We are thrilled to bring the AT&T WNBA All-Star Game to Indiana for the first time. The city of Indianapolis and the entire state of Indiana have a deep passion for basketball, making them the perfect hosts for celebrating the WNBA’s greatest stars.”
